With tongues firmly planted in cheeks, Burnshee and Thornside bring us Blues & Misc., twelve wry, rootsy songs that both celebrate and lampoon the original complaint rock genre. We like the front porch silliness of "Sticky Glue" and "I Can't Say No" has a nice smouldering blues-rock feel. As usual though, the instrumental tracks are where Burnshee Thornside really shine; "Ha-Keem" and "Bite Your Nose" show off the impeccable musicianship and precision of these performers.
